bear colony: Brotherhood. Sound. Collaboration. Combination. Art Blasts. Spirit. Mistakes. Participation. Samples. Happy Accidents. Heart. Noise & Beat. Distance & Fondness. Re-Interpretation. These ideas are at the heart of Bear Colony, a patchwork artistic collective from the south consisting of anywhere between six & twelve members, each of varying creative endeavorment. Re-organizing the idea of a Band, Bear Colony assemble their sonic and material formations out of necessity, always open ended and in the moment. Recognizing that all formations have a beginning, a middle, and an end, they combine impulse and hold on to nothing.
